Dr. Thao Phan, pediatric dentist, DMD, MSc(pediatric dentistry), FRCDC
She received her doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Montreal in 2000 followed by a general practice residency certificate from St-Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York. She then completed her specialty education in pediatric dentistry as well as a master of science degree from the University of Toronto in 2006.
Upon her return to Montreal, she served as interim co-director of the department of dental medicine at the CHU Sainte-Justine as well as the Centre de Réadaptation Marie-Enfant. Since 2013, she joined the teaching staff at McGill University acting as a lecturer and a clinical instructor.
Dr. Phan is now dedicated to her private office located in Montreal.
Doctor Tuan Dinh received his doctorate in dental medicine (DMD) from the University of Montreal in 1999 followed by a general practice residency certificate from St-Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York. He practices as a general dentist for a few years but his interest for dental implants and complex oral reconstructions takes him to the University of Toronto in 2002 where he begins his specialty education in prosthodontics.
In 2005, he completes his specialty education as well as a master of science (MSc). After graduation, he accepts a teaching position as a professor at the University of Toronto. Shortly after, he is named Director of the Implant Prosthodontic Unit (IPU) at the same institution. The same year he is the recipient of the Dr. A. Bruce Hord Master Teacher Award for excellence in teaching. In July of 2006, he returns to his hometown of Montreal where he accepts a teaching position as a professor at McGill University. He is the recipient of the Dr. Ernest R. Ambrose Clinical Professorship in Restorative Dentistry given by McGill University. He is a Fellow and an examiner of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) in prosthodontics.
He practices his specialty in his private offices located in Montreal.
Dr. Edwin Chan, pediatric dentist, received his doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Montreal in 2014 followed by a general practice residency certificate from the Montreal Children’s Hospital affiliated with McGill University in 2015. He then completed his specialty education in pediatric dentistry as well as a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in pediatric dentistry. Upon his return to Montreal, he joined the teaching staff at McGill University. During his time in graduate school, Dr. Chan won multiple prizes recognizing the quality of his clinical research.

Dr. Huu-Hoang Nguyen obtained his dental degree from the University of Montreal in 1988. Since the beginning of his career, he maintains a multidisciplinary practice. He is passionate about dentistry. His practice philosophy embraces a global approach to patient care with an attentive ear to everyone. In addition, Dr. Nguyen teaches weekly at his alma mater. In 2010, Dr. Nguyen joined the team of the CDPPM with his impressive baggage of experience for the benefit of patients of all ages.
Dr. Nazila Shamim obtained his dental degree from the University of Montreal in 2005. Her practice philosophy focuses on prevention with a global approach to patient care with an attentive ear. Dr. Shamim teaches weekly at her alma mater. Dr. Shamim offers to her patients, young and old, quality dental care in a peaceful and comforting environment.

At the CDPPM, our pediatric dentists offer dental treatments for children and adolescents of all ages. They also extend their services to mentally and physically challenged patients. In need, conscious sedation with nitrous oxide or general anesthesia can be offered to provide a positive experience to anxious young patients.
