Dr. Thao Phan, a pediatric dentist, earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal in 2000. She then completed a multidisciplinary residency at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York, followed by pediatric dentistry training and a Master of Science degree at the University of Toronto in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in pediatric dentistry.

Upon returning to Montreal, Dr. Phan served as interim co-chief of the Dental Medicine Department at Sainte-Justine Hospital and the Marie-Enfant Rehabilitation Centre. In 2013, she joined the faculty of McGill University as a lecturer and clinical instructor.

Dr. Edwin Chan, a pediatric dentist, earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal in 2014. In 2015, he completed a multidisciplinary residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital affiliated with McGill University. He then pursued his pediatric dentistry training, as well as a Master of Science degree, at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2018.

Dr. Chan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in pediatric dentistry. Upon returning to Montreal, he joined the faculty at McGill University. During his graduate studies, he received several awards in recognition of the excellence of his clinical research.

Dr. Jasmine Thao Nguyen, a pediatric dentist, graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of  Montreal in 2017. She then completed a multidisciplinary residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, affiliated with McGill University, in 2018. Her passion for working with children led her to further her studies, completing a Diploma of Specialized Studies (D.E.S.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in pediatric dentistry at the Université de Montréal.

Today, Dr. Jasmine Thao Nguyen provides pediatric dental care in private practice and under general anesthesia.

Dr. Tuan Dinh, a prosthodontist, earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 1999. He then completed a multidisciplinary residency at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York. After several years as a general dentist, he developed a strong interest in dental implants and complex reconstructive cases, which led him in 2002 to the University of Toronto for prosthodontic training, completed in 2005 along with a Master of Science degree. He subsequently became a professor and director of the Implant Prosthodontic Unit, receiving the Doctor A.B. Hord Master Teacher Award in 2005 for excellence in teaching.

Returning to Montreal in 2006, Dr. Dinh joined the faculty of McGill University, where he was awarded the Doctor Ernest R. Ambrose Clinical Professorship in Restorative Dentistry. He was further recognized with the Outstanding Clinical Demonstrator award in 2007 and the Clinical Teaching Award in 2008, highlighting his outstanding teaching contributions.

Dr. Dinh is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in prosthodontics and has served as an examiner. His expertise in implant-based reconstructions makes him a sought-after guest lecturer across Quebec. He currently practices his specialty in private practice in Montreal.

Dr. Huu-Hoang Nguyen obtained his dental degree from the University of Montreal in 1988. Since the beginning of his career, he maintains a multidisciplinary practice. He is passionate about dentistry. His practice philosophy embraces a global approach to patient care with an attentive ear to everyone.

In addition, Dr. Nguyen teaches weekly at his alma mater. In 2010, Dr. Nguyen joined the team of the CDPPM with his impressive baggage of experience for the benefit of patients of all ages.

Dr. Nazila Shamim, a graduate of the Université de Montréal Faculty of Dentistry (2005), provides  dental care in a calm and welcoming environment.

Her practice focuses on prevention and a comprehensive approach to oral health. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Shamim is a clinical instructor at the University of Montreal and is dedicated to listening attentively to the needs of each of her patients, both children and adults.

Dr. Rita Shaheen is fully dedicated to pediatric dentistry, providing personalized dental care for children and adolescents.
After earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2000, she completed a specialization in pediatric dentistry at the University of Damascus and later obtained her Canadian equivalency in Montreal in 2018 in general dentistry. With over 24 years of experience, she brings expertise and compassion to every patient she treats.

Committed to creating a positive dental experience, Dr. Shaheen is known for her empathy, calm demeanor, and professionalism. She strives to reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with dental visits, using conscious sedation when needed to help young patients feel at ease. Her warm, gentle, and attentive approach reassures both children and their parents.

Dr. Shaheen is a proud member of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (ODQ) and the Association des chirurgiens-dentistes du Québec (ACDQ). Dr. Shaheen also shared her knowledge and passion as a lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at McGill University, where she taught starting in 2019.

Dr. Ghiassi received her B. Sc in Biomedical Sciences from Université de Montréal in 2020 and completed her doctorate in dental medicine (DMD) at McGill University afterwards. She currently practices general dentistry in Montreal for patients of all ages with a strong emphasis on prevention and compassionate care.
